Jay Kruz has had the same pair of headphones for 13 years….and still going strong. Whether good luck or just neurosis, the headphones have seen him through many radio experiences – most notably the birth of The New 94.9. Jay’s been with the station since the beginning, and one of his favorite parts of the job is being able to give back to the community. Jay cites his favorite moment as “hugging breast cancer survivors at the finish line of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. It’s truly an honor.” He’s also grateful to be on the board of Brighton Center in Newport which helps families achieve self-sufficiency and president of the Board at Music Resource Center, Cincinnati – a non-profit after school music education program for grades 7-12.
When he’s not with The New 94.9, Jay’s golfing, treasure hunting for vintage radios, signs and antiques, traveling (he spent two years living in the Cayman Islands), playing guitar and spending time with family.
