Jacks is a 5-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix – a big and impressive dog at the League for Animal Welfare. He enjoys time spent with staff and volunteers and especially likes to romp in the play yards. He can be a little stubborn at times and will put on the brakes when he is feeling unsure of himself while out on walks. Another dog in the home can boost his confidence but a smaller female would be best.
It takes a little time for Jacks to become comfortable with new people but he will develop a bond in time. Jacks will do best in a home with adopters who have previous dog experience. He will need regular exercise including mental stimulation. If Jacks is kept busy he will forget his troubles and build a healthy sense of self.
