Adorable barely describes this little pixie with a spunky streak. Iris is a charmer with a beautiful ticked, classic tabby coat—mesmerizing swirls of dark brown against a café-au-lait tone, and hairs lighter at the ends than at the roots. She tolerates being picked up and snuggled but gives you a what-the-heck-are-you-doing glare. Iris would generally prefer to be playing, darting from one thing to the next in search of amusement.
Iris was rescued during a TNR (trap-neuter-release) campaign when a volunteer found an older couple overwhelmed by the responsibility of caring for a growing number of pets. Lovingly nursed back to health, Iris is now ready for her forever home. For companionship, STAF prefers kittens to go home in pairs. Iris would love to live with her adopted sister Violet.

Cat adoption information and application can be found at www.staf.org.
All cats and kittens have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered, and are up-to-date on vaccinations. Adoption fee includes carrier, scratching pad, starter pack of food and litter, and toy. We prefer kittens be adopted in pairs. We offer free advice anytime about your adopted cat. If, for any reason, it doesn’t work out, we will take the cat back, anytime in the future. Potential adopters must be interviewed in person, at the shelter, and live within 150 miles of Cincinnati. We will ask you to return to the shelter for a second visit to be sure of your decision. Sorry, we do not ship our cats or kittens! Please email Jean at jean@staf.org for more info on adopting!
