Maggie is a sweet, low-key, low maintenance dog. She is totally fine out of the crate – all day and all night. She has never had an accident in her foster home, nor chewed anything. She sleeps most of the day but does enjoy a short (1/4 to 1/3 mile), slow stroll. She enjoys the company of her older (8 year old) lab foster sibling, but enjoys hanging out alone as well. She would do best in a home with other dogs of a similar energy level. Maggie has not been exposed to cats, but based on her mellow personality, we don’t think she would care at all if she shared her family with cats.
She is not around small children in her foster home, but does have a human foster brother with Down syndrome who “gets in her face” sometimes and her tail wags the whole time. She has arthritis, so she would do best in a home where she would not have to climb many stairs. Maggie is the perfect dog for someone who wants a loving companion that doesn’t demand lots of attention or time.
