Rosie is a 2-3 year old collie/shepherd mix. She is a big love bug. She loves to be petted and loves to sleep on the bed. She is house trained with a doggy door, but most likely is house trained without one. She is crate trained, and loves to ride in the car. She needs to learn leash skills. She knows a few basic commands and her recall is fairly reliable.
She is an escape artist. She can clear a 4′ fence with ease from a sit. She can parkour her way out of a 6′ fence. She would excel at agility and with a family with a very active lifestyle. She would make an excellent running companion. It would be best for her if she was leashed walked and not contained in a fence.
Rosie is very protective and leery of men. She protects the property as well as the family unit. She has negative reactions for delivery people, bikers going by, walkers going by, and horses. I think she is very trainable and could be shown that these things are okay, but in the beginning the new adopter has to be aware of where she is. Her living environment is very easily managed when the proper protocols are followed. Her foster mom is more than willing to offer as much assistance as needed to help ensure a successful adoption.
